XL Specialized Trailers is a top tier manufacturer of custom Heavy Haul Trailers engineered and designed to meet the hauling needs of its customers. Founded on innovation and commitment to quality, the XL brand has earned a reputation as a premium heavy haul trailer.

Position Description

Job Overview:

Generally expected to work as a valued member of the XL Specialized Trailers team. Cleans and prepares trailers and components for paint.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Processes trailers and components for pre-paint by removing excess blast material and weld splatter; using pressurized air, vacuum systems and scrapers to clean-off trailers and components.
  2. Sets up production equipment by completing equipment changeovers.
  3. Prepares product for next process by masking specified areas to protect from painting action; loads and unload parts on racks; move trailers into position.
  4. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Wears proper personal protective equipment.
  5. Identifies and anticipates safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions.
  6. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing relating results as needed.

Ancillary Duties:

  1. Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall operations of the XL Specialized Trailers.

Works under direct supervision. The employee is responsible for planning and carrying out the assignment, keeping the supervisor informed of progress and potential problems or future implications.

  5. Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100lbs.
  6. Ability to work overtime including Saturdays.
