Job description

THE COMPANY

Bee Street Co.

LOCATION

West Hollywood, CA

POSITION

Part Time Packaging & Production Designer

REPORTS TO

Creative Director

ABOUT US

Bee Street is a celebrity & influencer marketing agency known for the custom mailers and PR gifting moments we create for leading consumer brands. We design and produce one-of-a-kind unboxing experiences-original concepts, custom packaging, and bespoke components built from scratch that land in the hands of high-profile influencers and celebrities and get opened on camera. Every project starts as an idea and ends as a physical object, so the work has to be beautiful, original, and exciting.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Packaging & Production Designer is a design role on the Bee Street creative team, working alongside the Creative Director to bring mailer concepts to life-from first rendering through print-ready production files. This role is design-first: we're looking for a graphic designer who can render custom packaging, build accurate die lines, and produce clean production files. Everything else, sourcing, vendor management, fulfillment, content, can be taught. We're growing quickly and need a designer who can contribute from day one.

THE DETAILS

  • 3 days a week, on-site at our West Hollywood office
  • Starts now through September, with the possibility of extending for the right fit
  • Pay $25/hour

THE POSITION

Design + Rendering

  • Create detailed renderings and mock-ups of custom packaging, boxes, and mailer components to support pitch decks, client approvals, and internal concept development
  • Build accurate die lines and create print-ready production files with proper bleed, trim, color profiles, and artwork placement, and understand how those files translate to physical production
  • Develop original graphic elements, custom artwork, and visual assets for mailer projects
  • Provide layout and graphic support for pitch decks, reports, and client-facing presentations
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and help develop creative concepts for influencer mailer projects

Production + Vendor Management

  • Research and source materials, products, packaging, and custom components for projects
  • Identify and vet new vendors to expand our supply chain and secure competitive pricing
  • Manage vendor relationships including quoting, sampling, purchase orders, timelines, and troubleshooting
  • Track project expenses, manage budgets, and organize receipts
  • Maintain an organized library of physical and digital samples and keep our vendor database current
  • Assist with fulfillment coordination, including assembly and packing

Social Media + Content

  • Photograph completed mailers at a high level- styled, well-lit, and ready for Instagram
  • Develop creative concepts and produce visual content for Bee Street's social media channels
  • Own the social media calendar, schedule posts, and manage the approval process
  • Maintain and update the Bee Street project gallery with current, high-quality imagery
  • Update the Bee Street website to reflect latest projects, work, and brand assets

YOUR EXPERIENCE LOOKS LIKE

  • Strong graphic design skills, with a portfolio that shows packaging, product, or 3D rendering work
  • Working proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite- especially Illustrator (die lines, production files) and Photoshop (rendering, compositing)
  • Hands-on understanding of print production: bleed, trim, color profiles, artwork placement, and how files translate to physical product
  • A sharp eye for design, composition, and detail

Nice to have:

  • Experience taking a concept from design through physical production
  • Experience collaborating with vendors, printers, fabricators, or production partners
  • A good eye for photography and content creation
  • Experience with social media content creation and scheduling tools
  • Experience creating influencer or PR mailers is a big plus

REQUIRED

  • A portfolio demonstrating strong graphic design and rendering work, submitted with your application
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Must be able to commute to the West Hollywood office 3x a week
