Warehouse Team Member โ€“ Custom Packaging, 2nd Shift

This warm and engaging team member will be an integral part of our Flavor Factory. With a growing business, our Warehouse Custom Packaging team member works within a dedicated team managing custom orders at our fast-paced warehouse. Your daily activities range from creating individual kits, preparing international orders per customs requirements, re-packaging items, creating multi pack items, breaking down and organizing returns, picking orders, forklift/pallet jack operation and adhering to safety and quality standards.

  • Team Participation: Using your knowledge of customer specifications, international requirements, food safety, and custom packaging you are equipped to support the team. You understand the importance of FIFO/FEFO as it relates to overseas customers. You ensure that shipments are picked, stickered, coded and shipped out accurately and on time. You participate and give ideas and suggestions to provide the customer with the best-in-class experience.
  • Communication: You engage all team members and share pertinent information routinely. As order volume and complexity shift, you seamlessly adapt. You know all the information related to the order you are working on and communicate any concerns about the quality of the product or about meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Our customers love Torani and expect we will get them the right product according to their specifications. You understand the importance of compliance with Torani operating procedures in custom packaging and our customer specifications. You ensure that your line check paperwork is accurately completed, and pay special attention to the lot numbers and item numbers. Your passion for continuous improvement helps us to get better every day! You understand that the best way to keep costs low and keep customers happy is to do it right the first time!
  • All Systems Go: You are comfortable working with VideoJet Zebra printer, HMIs, and labelers, Microsoft office, RF scanners, WMS โ€“ to name a few. You look for opportunities to improve and elevate the custom packaging workflow. You know the steps to work through before you escalate issues.
  • Safety First: You set the example by maintaining a safe and enjoyable work environment with zero safety incidents. Looking at work through a lens of safety, you care deeply about the safety of fellow team members and are comfortable addressing any safety concerns. Using your forklift and/or pallet jack driving skills, you safely transport pallets of product from one location to another and consistently conduct pre-shift inspections. Knowing that there are repetitive tasks in your work, you promote rotation and good ergonomic practicies in your daily activities.
  • Reliability and Commitment: You are respected for delivering on your commitments and your team can count on your reliability. You care deeply for others and love to roll up your sleeves and pitch-in so that we always get the job done and delight our customers.

What You'll Bring:
  • 2+ years of experience working in a warehouse (3-5 years preferred)
  • 2 years of forklift driver experience, with current certification
  • Experience with warehouse management systems, utilizing scanner technology and data entry into desktop
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic and mathematics
  • Eligible for $1.00 shift differential

Physical amp; Schedule Requirements:
  • Mโ€“F, Shift 2: 1:00 PM โ€“ 9:00 PM, plus overtime as needed
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand, walk, bend, twist for up to 8 hours

Work Location: San Leandro, 5 days on site at Toraniland: North Beach Distribution Center.
Payrate: $25.05/ hour
