The Temecula/Vail Lake KOA is an outdoor campground destination looking for enthusiastic people to join our maintenance team. Located in beautiful Southern California among a grove of oak trees, we are a year-round park offering camping close to the Temecula wine country, beautiful Vail Lake, and miles of mountain bike, horse, and hiking trails. Our goal is to create a great camping experience for our guests by offering excellent customer service. If you enjoy meeting new people, working in a fun yet challenging environment, and helping families create memories to last a lifetime we want to talk to you!


Working Hours:

  • Full time position available
  • 32-40 hours/week
  • Days will vary depending on projects but shifts Thursday - Monday
  • Scheduled hours will be an 8 hour shift between 11am and 11pm
  • $18 & up depending on applicants experience
  • Subsidized health insurance, paid vacation & Simple IRA contributions available upon completed milestones for full time employees
  • Reports to Facilities & Maintenance Department manager

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures customers receive a high level of service consistent with our customer service philosophy
  • Complete projects and repairs in a timely manor
  • Help to ensure the safety of guest and campground property with attentive observation and action
  • Coordinate with office staff for problem resolution when available
  • Communicate with all staff and management as applicable
  • Help enforce campground policies and implement solutions consistent with goals of park
  • Custodial work to maintain high standard of cleanliness in all facilities
  • Pool maintenance
  • Proactive approach to the daily repair and maintenance of campground facilities
  • Electrical repairs including replacing electrical receptacles and breakers
  • Plumbing repair of restrooms and other buildings on site
  • Carpentry, Drywall & Painting as needed
  • Knowledge in the safe use of sewer cleaning machines
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot repairs
  • Solve problems effectively and efficiently
  • Other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager or General Manager to assist with overall operations of the campground


Requirements

  • Have a basic knowledge and skill with a variety of tools and equipment
  • Experience operating a BobCat, tractor or other equipment a plus
  • Specific carpentry and remodel/construction skill a plus
  • Knowledge in many different areas including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, irrigation and landscaping appreciated
  • Able to work with others and work independently
  • Able to operate light vehicles safely on property
  • Professional Appearance and attitude towards guests and fellow team members
  • Communicate professionally and patiently
  • Be on your feet during shift and able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, climb, and dig repeatedly
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
