Position Summary
We are seeking a talented Upholstery Technician who is self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and passionate about impeccable craftsmanship. You will restore and create premium interiors across furniture, automotive, marine, and aviation projects, transforming client vision into reality.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and handle premium fabrics, leathers, vinyl, and other upholstery materials for custom installation.
  • Design and execute custom upholstery solutions for furniture, vehicles, and specialty pieces according to client specifications.
  • Develop and cut precise patterns, translating designs into detailed templates.
  • Operate commercial walking‑foot sewing machines, staplers, hot‑knife cutters, and other hand or power tools safely.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation for time, materials, and processes.
  • Uphold OSHA safety regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Adapt techniques and solve problems creatively to meet unique client requests.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two or more years of experience in residential or commercial upholstery (strong portfolios may offset experience).
  • Formal training in automotive, aircraft, or marine upholstery is a plus.
  • Proficient with leather, vinyl, cloth, carpet, and foam fabrication.
  • Skilled in flat pattern layout, sewing, gluing, and use of walking‑foot sewing machines.
  • Strong attention to detail and appreciation for luxury finishes.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively; clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Punctual, career‑oriented, and highly self‑motivated.
  • Physically able to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy components.
