Job description

Smithart Custom Millwork is seeking a skilled and dependable Custom Cabinet Installer / Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering cabinetry to job sites and performing high-quality installation of custom millwork in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate has strong carpentry skills, attention to detail, and holds a valid Texas driver’s license.

Cabinet Installation

  • Install custom cabinets, trim, and millwork according to shop drawings and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints and layout plans
  • Ensure cabinets are level, plumb, and securely fastened
  • Perform field modifications when necessary
  • Maintain high-quality craftsmanship standards
  • Communicate professionally with builders, contractors, and homeowners
  • Keep job sites clean and organized

Delivery & Transportation

  • Safely load, secure, and transport cabinetry to job sites
  • Operate company vehicles in compliance with Texas traffic laws
  • Inspect deliveries for accuracy and damage prior to departure
  • Assist with unloading and staging materials at job sites
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of company vehicle

Qualifications

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License (required)
  • Clean driving record
  • Experience installing custom cabinets or finish carpentry (preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand shop drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work on feet for extended periods
  • Must have own basic hand tools (preferred, if applicable to your company)
