Job description

Part-Time Custodian – Middlebury, CT

GD Resources is seeking a reliable part-time custodian to clean two government office locations in Middlebury, Connecticut.

Schedule: 3–4 hours per week, preferably Monday or Tuesday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect offices, restrooms and common areas.
  • Vacuum carpets and sweep/mop hard floors.
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, doors and windowsills.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
  • Replenish paper products and soap.
  • Pick up exterior litter around buildings, lawns and parking areas.
  • Perform interior and exterior window cleaning twice per year.
  • Follow company, OSHA and federal-site safety and security procedures.

Requirements:

  • Prior janitorial experience preferred.
  • Reliable transportation between both Middlebury locations.
  • Ability to work independently and complete all assigned tasks.
  • Ability to lift cleaning supplies and safely perform physical cleaning duties.
  • Dependable, professional and attentive to detail.
  • Must be First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification.
  • Must meet applicable federal facility access requirements.
