Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator for a long-term position with a manufacturing company located in North Portland. The person in this position will use industrial sewing equipment to produce curtains and drapery for theaters and performing art centers nation wide. Pay: $17-$21/hr Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Responsibilities: Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish drapery products according to specifications and design requirements. Cut fabric accurately to ensure proper dimensions and alignment. Seam, hem, and finish drapery panels with precision and attention to detail. Work with a variety of fabric types, including velvet, silk, and heavy-duty flame-resistant materials. Collaborate closely with the production team to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs. Maintain sewing machines and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area. Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Qualifications: Proven experience as an industrial sewing worker or similar role Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and other related equipment.
