Work in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment from Mondays 6am to 230pm and Tuesday to Friday 11am to 7:30pm. Pay rate is $19/hour, with an emphasis on garment modifications, repairs, and quality inspections, especially on bottoms like pants and jeans. About the Role
The Alterations Department Associate is responsible for performing detailed garment alterations, repairs, and quality inspections with a focus on fabric work and sewing. This role involves executing alterations such as hemming, resizing, seam adjustments, and repairs, ensuring all products meet client specifications and quality standards.
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Shift Schedule
  • Monday 6 am to 230pm
  • Tuesday to Thursday 11am to 730pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform garment alterations and repairs on bottoms (pants, jeans, etc.)
  • Operate sewing equipment to produce high-quality modifications
  • Conduct detailed quality inspections on fabric, stitching, and garment construction
  • Execute alterations including hemming, resizing, and seam adjustments
  • Use hand tools and electric cutters for fabric cutting
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety at the workstation
  • Follow SOPs and quality control procedures

Key Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with sewing machines (industrial experience preferred, especially JUKI machines)
  • Experience working with polyester, cotton, denim fabrics
  • Proficiency in various stitching techniques such as hidden stitch, cutoff stitch, visible stitch, chain stitch
  • Experience with fabric cutting (manual and electric)
  • Attention to detail and craftsmanship mindset
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and handle repetitive motions
