In this career, you research educational trends and techniques to determine what are the best ways to instruct students; then you develop new curriculum that incorporates those methods. Your job duties may also include reviewing the current materials and help to improve or change the instruction to better meet guidelines set by the company, school district, or state educational board. Curriculum writers often work for public school districts, educational non-profits, and online educational start-ups.
