About the Role
Arc Experience is seeking an Enrichment Instructor to teach engaging, skill-based classes for students in grades K-12.
If you have a special skill, talent, or passion in the job title above, and enjoy working with youth - this is a great opportunity to make a difference while earning extra income in the afternoons.
You'll lead your own classroom (1 instructor to 20 students) and bring learning to life through hands-on, creative lessons. Arc provides curriculum support, training, and classroom management tools to ensure your success.
Schedule & Compensation
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday between 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM (3-4 days per week)
  • Pay Rate: $35/hour when teaching classes
What You'll Do
  • Plan and lead engaging enrichment activities for youth (K-8).
  • Create a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment for students.
  • Teach a class of 20 students.
  • Travel between local schools to teach scheduled classes.
  • Attend occasional team meetings and training sessions.
What We're Looking For
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and connecting with youth.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a class confidently.
  • Reliable transportation for travel between nearby schools.
  • Experience in education, coaching, or after-school programs preferred but not required.
  • Availability for at least 3 days per week between 1:00-5:30 PM.

To qualify for this position, you will need:
  • At least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
  • Qualified in the specific skill we are looking for to teach our students.
  • To be a good communicator and self sufficient with limited supervision.
  • College transcripts that show you have 48+ college credit units completed OR take and pass an academic proficiency exam.
  • To get a TB test (and provide proof that it is negative) and pass a Live Scan background check.
  • If you are an English-Spanish bilingual speaker, your resume will stand out!

If the school you will be working at requires a Covid-19 vaccination, then you must provide documentation that shows you are fully Covid-19 vaccinated.
This position is part-time, non-exempt. This position reports to the Enrichment Coordinator.
Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Reliably commute before starting work (required)
