We are seeking an experienced Preschool Assistant Director to oversee the daily operations of the preschool, including staff management, curriculum development, budgeting and financial planning, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall academic, social, and emotional development of the children in the program. The Preschool Assistant Director also acts as a role model for staff and ensures a safe and secure learning environment for the children.
Preschool Assistant Director Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and evaluate staff performance, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and other relevant laws.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and provide ongoing communication about their children's progress.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff members.
  • Participate in community outreach activities to raise awareness of the preschool.
  • Collaborates with other members of the Leadership Team to provide ongoing feedback for teaching staff, using a variety of tools such as the Teacher Observation Tool and student assessment data.
  • Works with teachers to identify strengths and areas of opportunity to design plans for continual improvement.
  • Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary.

Preschool Assistant Director Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field
  • At least three years of Assistant Director experience working in a preschool setting.
  • Knowledge of current early childhood education best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification

Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year, based on level of education and relevant experience.
Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday. Shifts will be scheduled within the school's operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
