Job Summary
The GED Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students preparing for the General Education Development (GED) test. The instructor will contribute to curriculum development and deliver lessons in one of the four core subject areas: Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA), Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies. The role involves assessing students' needs, creating individualized and group learning plans, and helping students acquire the skills and confidence needed to successfully pass the GED test and achieve their educational and career goals.
Qualifications - Education
Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. NJ Teaching Certification.
Qualifications - Experience
Prior teaching experience as a High School Teacher.
Qualifications - Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies in related field of specialization. Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use technology in education as appropriate to the subject matter. Please be specific in stating your areas of expertise and experience. 3+ years of classroom teaching experience with non-traditional adult students preferred.
