The Assistant Professor (Series II) & Program Director for the Midwifery Program at MSM provides strategic leadership and comprehensive administration of the Midwifery Program. The Program Director oversees daily operations, promotes program excellence, and fosters strategic partnerships to advance MSM's mission of health equity.
This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position within the Division of Graduate Education Nursing, encompassing teaching, clinical practice, service, and scholarship responsibilities. MSM utilizes time and effort certification to document all professional faculty contributions. Program Directors maintain a 3-3-2 teaching load (3 courses in Fall and Spring semesters, 2 courses in Summer semester).
This position requires full-time, on-site presence and does not offer hybrid or remote work arrangements.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Licensure
โข Earned doctoral degree (DNP, PhD, or EdD) from an accredited institution of higher education
โข Active, unencumbered Georgia RN and midwifery license
โข Current national AMCB (American Midwifery Certification Board) certification
โข Holds or is eligible for DEA licensure
Professional Experience
โข Minimum five years of full-time equivalent CNM clinical experience
โข Experience in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development and program administration
โข Demonstrated commitment to health equity and caring for underserved populations
Preferred Qualifications
