Job description

Grassland Dairy Products is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Packaging Operator to join our 2nd Shift production team.

This role is responsible for operating and maintaining packaging equipment to ensure dairy products are packaged efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will work well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilites include:

  • Follow and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety policies, and quality assurance standards
  • Verify quality control items including product weights, product coding, packaging integrity, and labeling
  • Perform assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and sanitizing of printing and packaging equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in required production and quality systems
  • Operate print and packaging equipment efficiently to meet production demands, including:
  • Quarter-pound and pound print machines
  • Continental cup machines
  • Seal/Whip cup machines
  • Whipper, Chips, and Spreadable packaging machines
  • Assist with general plant cleaning and housekeeping to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
  • Provide coverage for other positions as needed to support production operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Compensation for this position ranges from $ 19.00/hour to $27.81/hour. Education, experience, and relevant qualifications may be taken into consideration.
