Job description

The School of Continuing & Professional Studies at Lehman College is seeking to fill two College Assistant positions at CUNY on the Concourse located at 2501 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY, who will provide administrative and operational support to the department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Provide front-line customer service to students, prospective students, instructors, and the public in person, by phone, email, and online platforms.
-Assist with enrollment, registration, documentation, and student communications.
-Perform data entry and maintain accurate student, course, and certificate records.
-Support outreach and recruitment efforts, including follow-up with prospective students and assistance with marketing activities.
-Assist with events, information sessions, and community outreach activities, including registration and on-site support.
-Provide clerical support for classroom and online courses, including learning management system (LMS) updates, basic technical assistance, course materials, evaluations, and general office operations.

-Refer non-routine or complex issues to supervisory staff.

Available to work the following schedules:

Day Shift
-Approximately 6โ€“7 hours per day
-Three days per week, including some Saturdays
-Typical work hours: 9:30/10:00 a.m. โ€“ 5:00/5:30 p.m.

Evening Shift
-Approximately 5 hours per day
-Four days per week, including some Saturdays
-Typical work hours: 4:30pm-9:30pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must demonstrate sufficient skills to perform the duties of the assigned tasks.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

-Some college coursework completed
-Experience in a front-desk or public-facing support role
-Experience supporting events, workshops or community outreach
-Experience with enrollment, registration or student record systems
-Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) or online learning platforms
-Bilingual or multilingual proficiency
