Position Title: Cultural Programming Host

Villa Roma Resort & Conference Center

Reports to: Cultural Programming Lead

Overseen by: Cultural Programming Director

Compensation: $18-$20/hr, Non-Exempt


Villa Roma is seeking a highly organized, hospitality-forward, and culturally engaged Cultural

Programming Host to support the execution and on-site coordination of Villa Romaโ€™s evolving Cultural Programming initiatives, including entertainment programming, wellness experiences, seasonal activations, retreat programming, and special projects.


This role serves as the primary on-property representative for Cultural Programming and plays a critical role in ensuring all experiences are executed with operational excellence, strong guest engagement, and clear interdepartmental communication.


The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment with dynamic schedules and evolving programming needs. They must be able to communicate constructive feedback positively, professionally, and operationally.


Position Overview

The Cultural Programming Host will work directly under the Cultural Programming Lead and in coordination with the Cultural Programming Director to support the execution of all cultural, entertainment, and wellness programming across the property.


This is not a traditional 9โ€“5 role. Working hours are directly tied to the operational timing of Cultural Programming activations and experiences. The position requires on-property presence during scheduled programming, including evenings, weekends, holidays, retreat experiences, and special events.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Programming Coordination
  • Serve as the on-property representative for all Cultural Programming activations
  • Ensure programming spaces are properly prepared prior to guest arrival
  • Coordinate operational flow and guest experience execution during activations
  • Support setup, vendor arrival, talent check-in, transitions, and strike/load-out as needed
  • Maintain strong communication between Programming and operational departments throughout activations
  • Assist with guest flow, audience management, and overall on-site experience support


Interdepartmental Coordination

  • Assist in ensuring all departments are aligned on programming timing, guest expectations, operational needs, and scheduling updates

  • Coordinate with Marketing and Operations to ensure all guest-facing communication materials are properly displayed and updated across the property, including:
  • Flyers
  • Digital screens
  • Signage
  • Daily schedules
  • Activity boards
  • Additional promotional and communication channels


Vendor, Talent & Guest Communication
  • Serve as the primary on-site communication coordinator for:

  • Assist with talent hospitality and on-site logistics

  • Coordinate guest check-in for ticketed or RSVP-based events and experiences


Experience Assessment & Reporting
  • Share post-event assessments and operational feedback directly with the Cultural Programming Lead
  • Complete nightly reporting for each Cultural Programming activation and event
  • Track and document:

โ—‹ Guest engagement observations

โ—‹ Operational challenges

โ—‹ Vendor or talent feedback

  • Maintain attendance records and guest check-in tracking for ticketed or RSVP-based experiences
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for future programming improvements and guest experience enhancements


Qualifications
  • Previous hospitality, events, entertainment, cultural programming, or guest experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and flexible operational schedules
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to communicate operational feedback constructively and professionally

Schedule & Availability

This role requires a flexible schedule based on programming and operational needs.

Candidates must understand:

  • This is not a standard office-hours role
  • Evening and weekend availability is required
  • Presence is required during active Cultural Programming experiences and retreat programming
  • Schedule timing will fluctuate based on programming calendar and operational priorities
