PCH Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Catering Sales Manager to generate catering and social event business for the Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa and the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel.

From elegant weddings and galas to corporate functions, holiday celebrations, and social events, you'll help clients create memorable experiences while driving revenue for two of Mobile's most iconic Marriott properties.

What You'll Do

  • Develop new catering and social event business through prospecting, networking, referrals, community involvement, and client relationship development while consistently achieving revenue and production goals.
  • Consult with clients to understand their vision, recommend customized food and beverage experiences, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and guide each event from initial inquiry through successful execution.
  • Conduct property tours and site inspections, showcasing our event venues while identifying opportunities to maximize revenue through menu enhancements, meeting space, audiovisual services, and other event offerings.
  • Partner closely with Culinary, Event Management, Operations, and Revenue teams to ensure seamless event execution, exceptional guest satisfaction, and profitable business outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate contracts, banquet event documentation, and client communications while delivering an exceptional customer experience that builds repeat business and long-term loyalty.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous catering sales experience within a full-service Marriott hotel is strongly preferred, with a proven background in Catering Sales, Group Sales, Event Management, or Hospitality Sales. Comparable luxury/upscale hotel or event venue experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business, negotiating contracts, managing multiple events simultaneously, and consistently achieving catering revenue goals.
  • Strong knowledge of banquet operations, food and beverage planning, event logistics, audiovisual services, menu planning, and contract administration.
  • Experience with Marriott systems including CI/TY is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, presentation, and relationship-building skills with a passion for delivering outstanding client experiences.
