You'll be surrounded by a team of dedicated professionals and have access to a comprehensive rewards package that prioritizes your career's growth and your overall well-being.
Description - What You'll Do
  • Carry out both routine and intricate clinical laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-while adhering to established protocols.
  • Evaluate test results for precision, resolve discrepancies, and conduct preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in specimen collections and prepare samples for testing whenever necessary.
  • Meticulously document all procedures, mentor new team members or students, and help maintain high standards within the lab.
  • Ensure a safe, organized work environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Certifications
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be achieved within the first year of your employment.
  • Maintenance of current certification is required throughout your time with us.
Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective engagement with healthcare teams.
  • Independently capable of exercising judgment and solving problems in fast-paced or demanding environments.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, especially concerning quality control and documentation.
Benefits

Your analyses could be the defining factor in determining an infection or identifying a metabolic issue before it manifests. Your expertise guarantees reliability that physicians, nurses, and patients depend on daily.
A Collaborative Environment
This position is more than just a job; it's being part of a collaborative community. You will be immersed in a team atmosphere that values ongoing professional growth. Regular in-lab check-ins, competency workshops, and process improvement initiatives cultivate a culture of idea-sharing. You'll have a say in committees, propose improvements, and even train newer teammates.
Thriving in the City That Never Sleeps
Imagine living in a vibrant metropolis where each corner bursts with excitement and potential. Tree-lined streets are bustling with life, cafes spill over with warmth and creativity, and local markets brim with fresh produce. Your days off could include exploring the art scene, savoring cuisine from around the globe, or enjoying an outdoor concert in a city park. With a community spirit that binds New Yorkers, the healthcare sector here mirrors that same camaraderie and dedication.
Within your grasp are endless opportunities-from diverse cultural experiences to extensive recreational activities. Quick transit options mean less commuting time and more time for personal pursuits. With manageable costs of living compared to larger urban centers, your earnings will stretch towards enriching experiences-weekend escapades, culinary adventures, and vibrant social gatherings.
