Our challenge

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Murex Technical Production Support Analyst to support the Equity Derivatives trading desk. This role is responsible for ensuring production stability across the Murex MX.3 platform, acting as the first and second line of support for user issues, trade capture problems, pricing discrepancies, risk gaps, workflow failures, and system incidents. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical troubleshooting skills, hands-on Murex support experience, and the ability to drive incidents through triage, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution while partnering closely with internal L3 teams and the Murex vendor.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is$135k - $155k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line production support for Murex MX.3 across pricing, risk, trade capture, workflows, market data, and interfaces
  • Own incident triage, impact assessment, root cause analysis, and follow-up remediation
  • Monitor logs, dashboards, schedulers, RTS feeds, and batch processes to identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Troubleshoot pricing inconsistencies, risk/sensitivity gaps, trade enrichment failures, and interface delays
  • Manage and track vendor cases, including evidence gathering, reproduction steps, and validation of fixes
  • Support production releases, emergency changes, and maintenance activities with pre- and post-deployment checks
  • Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles to improve operational efficiency and reduce repeat incidents
  • Contribute to monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen platform stability

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience supporting Murex MX.3 in a production environment
  • Knowledge of Murex modules including eTradepad, Pricing, Simulation, Livebook, and Workflow
  • Experience with market data components such as MDCS, RTBS, MDRS, and MDIT
  • Strong Murex log analysis, performance troubleshooting, and Unix/Linux-based support skills
  • Scripting experience in Python and/or Unix shell
  • Good understanding of Murex orchestration, services, process flows, and EOD job troubleshooting
  • SQL knowledge across Sybase, SQL Server, or Oracle
  • Understanding of Equity Derivatives products and Greeks
  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
  • Overall 10+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of Front Office Trading Technology support experience
  • 3+ years of Murex MX.3 support experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure production support environment
  • Automation mindset and continuous improvement focus

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with observability/monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, ITRS
  • Familiarity with enterprise schedulers such as Tidal, Autosys, or Ctrl-M
  • Experience with Incident, Problem, and Change Management tools such as ServiceNow
