Description: General Agricultural Science Teacher: Career Technical Education
Job Summary: Lakes Region Technology Center is seeking an Agricultural Science Teacher (CTE). The successful candidate will need to be CTE certified or able to attain a Statement of Eligibility to Hire under NH-DoE in CTE for Agricultural Science. The successful candidate should be familiar with NH CTE Competenices in General Ag.Science and able and willing to mentor students as an advisor for FFA at the local, state and national levels. A successful candiate will need to follow CTE guidelines and expectations regarding fundraising, fieldtrip expectations, competitions; including state fairs and other student activities. The General Ag. Science program is poised to make additions that will impact regional practices in collaboration with our community partners and our program advisory committee. In addition our center currently has available heavy equipment, a five acre woodlot and a greenhouse to support student learning. Qualifications: NH Department of Education certification CTE General Ag. Science or ability to secure a Statement of Eligibility to hire from NH DOE. A degree in Environmental Science or related field experience will be taken into consideration.
Working Conditions: A candidate must be available per contract and follow the guidelines of the collective bargaining agreement for GWRSD.
