Job description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to play a vital role within our dynamic logistics environment. This position is essential in driving efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across our supply chain operations. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, the role may support additional organizational needs as the company continues to evolve.
This position follows standard business hours and may require overtime during peak seasons or as dictated by operational demands. The work environment is remote for a minimum of six weeks. With the potential requirement for full on-site presence based on business needs as determined by the supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize a high-volume email ticketing system, ensuring efficient and accurate customer support.
  • Coordinate supply chain operations through clear communication with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Plan and track final shipments, meeting cost and timeline expectations.
  • Assist multiple shipping facilities for day-to-day logistics and key shipping functions.
  • Partner with Credits, Customer Success, and Accounts Payable to resolve freight-related issues.
  • Route or reroute drivers as needed, providing solutions for complex freight challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with freight vendors and internal teams.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance logistics operations.
  • Proactively address supply chain disruptions to ensure smooth product flow.
  • Use analytical tools to assess, predict, and optimize logistics performance.
  • Navigate special customer portals and manage relationships with sensitive or high priority customers.
  • Facilitate LTL, Volume and Truckload quotes for large orders and manage the corresponding pickup for multiple shipping sites.
  • Coordinate inbound freight with vendors to ensure timely delivery to RectorSeal facilities.

Recommended Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in logistics coordination or a related field.
  • Preferred experience with Hazmat freight logistics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and logistics platforms (e.g., JDE, Zendesk, Carrier Portals).

Skills/Competencies:
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes, including inventory planning and warehouse management.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to drive operational excellence.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and oversee logistics processes across departments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
