Job description

We manufacture high performance lubricants, friction modifiers, application equipment, lubrication management systems, desiccant breathers and cleaners designed to meet the specific needs of each industry and application. Industrial customers worldwide rely on Whitmore to deliver the performance engineered solutions industry counts on even in the most adverse conditions and demanding environments.
Whitmore is currently seeking a Shift Lead to join our team at the Rockwall, Texas facility.
Responsibilities:
  • Follow and reinforce all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements, use of personal protective equipment, and safe work practices.
  • Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), quality-control standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other applicable training requirements.
  • Assign daily tasks and provide direction to employees working in Filling, Pre-Batching, and Compounding.
  • Monitor Filling, Pre-Batching, and Compounding operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, and efficiency expectations are met throughout the shift.
  • Work closely with the Shift Supervisor to coordinate production priorities, resolve operational concerns, and ensure shift goals are achieved.
  • Coach and support team members in manufacturing high-quality products while maximizing the effective use of time, materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor work orders throughout the Pre-Batching, Compounding, and Filling processes.
  • Ensure all materials used during the shift are accurately issued and recorded in JDE.
  • Prepare materials for production batches according to pre-batch tickets and applicable work instructions.
  • Accurately and legibly complete production records, work orders, and other required documentation.
  • Assist Pre-Batchers, Compounders, and Fillers with daily production activities as needed.
  • Monitor employee adherence to safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping expectations and promptly communicate concerns to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with established housekeeping standards.
  • Support the training and development of new and existing team members.
  • Communicate production updates, equipment issues, material shortages, quality concerns, and other shift-related information to the appropriate departments.
  • Follow the CSW Industrials Code of Ethics and demonstrate the CSW Industrials Core Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements / Skills:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
  • Previous leadership, team lead, or training experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Filling, Pre-Batching, and/or Compounding operations is preferred.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, coach employees, and support a productive team environment.
  • Demonstrated record of dependable attendance, satisfactory job performance, and adherence to company policies.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and supporting departments.
  • Strong decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn company systems, including JDE.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and adapt to changing production demands.
  • Ability to reliably report to work as scheduled.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry materials for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions.
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment and follow applicable safety requirements.
