What is a CSRD professional?

CSRD professionals are experts who specialize in helping organizations comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), a European Union regulation that requires companies to disclose detailed information about their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. These professionals guide companies through the process of collecting, analyzing, and reporting sustainability data according to CSRD standards. Their work ensures transparency, improves sustainability performance, and helps companies avoid penalties for non-compliance. CSRD professionals often have backgrounds in sustainability, compliance, accounting, or corporate governance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Corporate Social Responsibility Director?

To thrive as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Director, you need a strong background in sustainability, business strategy, and stakeholder engagement, often supported by a relevant degree in business, environmental studies, or a related field. Outstanding communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills help you drive initiatives and foster collaboration across departments.
