Job description

Position: Global HSE Industrial Hygiene Manager

Job Description:

As the Global HSE Industrial Hygiene Manager, you will play a critical role in the management of Accenture's industrial hygiene programs and processes. Your primary focus will be to develop an industrial hygiene program while provide technical expertise. This role will also support Accenture HSE Ventures and Acquisitions program, ensuring newly acquired companies are following HSE laws and company HSE requirements. You will continue to existing company health, safety and environmental programs, help identify compliance gaps and risks, and establish strategies to ensure continued alignment with international standards and industry best practices. Through your expertise and leadership, you will contribute to a safe and sustainable working environment while fostering a culture of health and safety. In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Develop, execute and maintain the Global HSE Industrial Hygiene Program.

  • Ensure compliance with local HSE laws and regulations related to industrial hygiene.

  • Contribute to V&A HSE risk assessments and mitigation plans during Due Diligence and Post Merger Integration.

  • Assist in the creation and continuous improvement of Accenture HSE Policies and Procedures.

  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions for occupational health/exposure incidents.

  • Ensure training needs are identified and developed for employees participating in industrial hygiene activities.

  • Embed artificial intelligence into industrial hygiene processes, where possible.

  • Contribute to global HSE tools, sites and dashboards including third-party verifiers like ISNetworld, Avetta, ComplyWorks, etc.

  • Provide input into the advancement of Accenture's HSE programs by sharing best practices and emerging knowledge, technology and innovation.

  • Engage with key stakeholders at the global and local levels within the organization to implement industrial hygiene processes and procedures to drive compliance and awareness.

  • Manage special projects for continual improvement.

Education:

Must have:

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety and/or Environmental Science and/or Industrial Hygiene, or related field .

Good to have:

  • ISO 45001 & 14001 management system training.

  • Project Management certification (PMP Preferred)

HSE Certifications such as DOLE, CRSP, CSHM, IOSH Level 3, CHMM, NEBOSH IGC, etc.

Skills:

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional (or international equivalent)

  • Knowledge and Experience with a variety of industry operations including but not limited to:

    • Oil & Gas

    • Data Centers

    • Nuclear

    • Manufacturing

    • Automation

    • Construction

    • Electrical

    • Maritime

  • Knowledge and certifications in Health & Safety (e.g. CSP, DOLE, CRSP, CSHM, IOSH Level 3, CHMM, NEBOSH IGC, etc.)

  • Knowledge and certifications in Industrial Hygiene (e.g. COH, CIH, DipOH, ROH, CPIH, etc.)

  • Mastery of the AIHA Strategy for Assessing and Managing Occupational Exposures

  • Knowledge of IH hazards and their relative controls such as chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic stressors (including noise, radiation, thermal stressors, and ventilation.)

  • Regulatory knowledge of IH Standards and practices such as ILO and OEL frameworks.

  • Experience with HSE and IH integration of Ventures and Acquisitions.

  • Ability to perform IH risk assessments of existing operations and acquired operations/facilities/site activities to identify gaps in local compliance regulations, company policies and procedures.

  • Ability to estimate IH remediation costs based on IH requirements such as engaging safety consultants, 3rd party auditors, and remediation strategies for equipment, training, and process improvement.

  • Ability to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required to support team and organizational goals.

  • Knowledge and experience in Program & Project management (PMP, PGMP, etc. is preferred).

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate daily activities of multiple work streams, focused on issue resolution, while being an effective communicator and project manager.

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written communication - particularly in defensible technical writing (risk assessments, mitigation strategies, gap analyses)

  • Fluent in English, both written and oral.

  • Ability to quickly grasp complex and unfamiliar subjects.

  • Ability to establish credibility as a member of the leadership team and with stakeholders.

  • Proven success in contributing to a virtual international team.

  • Highly responsive, flexible and adaptable.

Skills & Work Experience

Must have:

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) (or global equivalent)

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) (or global equivalent)

  • Strong knowledge of OHS regulations, standards, and best practices across various industries (international knowledge preferred).

  • 5+ years of project management experience.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, including designing, launching, and managing programs from the ground up with minimal oversight.

  • HSE risk management and assessment work experience.

Analytical thinker.

Excellent English (speaking/writing) and communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Teams, SharePoint, etc.

Good to have:

  • Experience with ventures and acquisitions.

  • Industrial/Manufacturing field experience.

  • Experience with global application of Industrial Hygiene.
