  • Risk Assessment and Remediation: Responsible for managing and conducting the AML and Sanctions risk assessment for the Northamerican entities adhering to empirical methodologies to evaluate inherent risk, control effectiveness and residual risk. Lead and manage complex regulatory remediation efforts, ensuring audit and examination findings are tracked, addressed, and closed effectively.
  • Digital Asset Intelligence: Direct the AML and sanctions due diligence processes for all new token listings, ensuring comprehensive risk evaluations are completed prior to supporting new digital assets on the platform.

  • Regulatory Reporting & Governance: Manage responses to SAR supporting documentation requests, draft executive Board Reports for Northamerican entities, and provide other ad hoc updates.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of progressive, senior-level experience in Sanctions, and Financial Crimes Compliance, ideally within top-tier crypto exchanges, digital asset fintechs, or complex global financial institutions.
  • Strong working knowledge of US and Canadian sanctions and AML regulatory regimes.
  • Hands-on experience leading AML/Sanctions risk assessments and driving significant regulatory remediation programs.
  • Expertise in digital assets, blockchain analytics, token listing due diligence frameworks, and the implementation of on-chain sanctions controls.
  • Demonstrated capability to spearhead workflow automation and integrate cutting-edge compliance technologies (e.g., AI/ML tools, advanced case management systems) to optimize operations.
  • Established history of successfully managing and responding to inquiries from tier-1 banking partners, global regulators, and law enforcement agencies.
