Job description

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Staff Frontend Engineer - Crypto - this is an onsite role in NYC. Salary range: 250-300K USD base plus generous equity.

About the team

You’ll be joining a team of 8 on the engineering side: 3 frontend engineers, 5 backend engineers. Everyone on the team is crypto-native with experience from companies like dYdX, Uniswap, and OpenSea. We have high standards for ourselves and the people we work with.

About the role

You’ll own our two primary app surfaces: our mobile app and our web app.

Our mobile app is an Expo app and our web app is a React Router + Vite app.

This is an exciting time to join as we prepare to take us to the next level. In the next few months we plan to:

  • Add new order types

  • Add new asset classes (examples: perpetuals, prediction markets)

  • Double down on new social features. Our engineers aren’t constrained to any specific area - while this is primarily a frontend role, we encourage engineers to make changes across the stack where it makes sense.

Ideal candidate

  • Staff+ level engineer (6+ years of experience), deep understanding of React, able to come up with and execute on plans autonomously

  • Has experience building in crypto (Solana or EVM experience preferred)

  • Full-stack experience is a plus (our backend services are in TypeScript)

  • AI-native. Most of our code today is written by agentic tools.

Compensation & Package

Compensation

  • $250k-$300k base salary + generous equity package

  • Relocation to NYC covered if needed
