Hotel Maintenance Supervisor, East Coast
The Hotel Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the appearance of hotel spaces onboard American Cruise Lines’ ships. The Supervisor works closely with Hotel Maintenance Management to keep the ships in good condition in accordance with the company’s standards and guest expectations. During the operating season the supervisor will travel to the ships to evaluate, inspect and repair any hotel spaces that require attention. During the planned layup season the supervisor will manage regional maintenance and repair projects to prepare the ships to return to service in good working order. This position is part of the Product Team and reports to the Senior Manager of Hotel Maintenance and Refurbishment.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspection of all hotel furniture, fixtures and equipment
  • Ensure that cleanliness standards are followed and conduct walkthroughs with HGM or HKM
  • Prepare ship visit reports after each visit listing deficiencies that were noted and corrective action taken or planned
  • Send reports to hotel maintenance team leaders for review and discussion
  • Assist in preparing for contractors to do work on the ships
  • Manage hired contractors to ensure that all work scheduled is completed and acceptable to the agreed terms and conditions
  • Resolve issues that are assigned to you from the Hotel Maintenance ticket system
  • Provide guidance and assistance to onboard teams in working on maintenance items
  • Establish timelines for moving in of furniture, fixtures, and replacement items
  • Facilitate effective communication between contractors, crew, and management
  • Perform final inspections to ensure quality and assurance of work completed prior to ships delivery
  • Available for weekly meetings with Hotel Maintenance Manager and Product Development Manager when needed
  • Handle additional assignments from the Hotel Maintenance amp; Refurbishment Manager or Product Team
Qualifications:
  • Prior hospitality experience maintaining and repairing public spaces and guest rooms at hotels or on cruise Ships
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to use internal software and provided technology
  • US Coast Guard regulated pre-employment drug test
