Norton’s Restaurant of Green Lake, WI (now under Gage Marine’s family of businesses!) is hiring Hosts and Hostesses to be the first point of contact for our guests. As a host/hostess, you’ll set the tone for the dining experience by greeting guests warmly, managing reservations and waitlists, and escorting customers to their tables.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude
  • Provide accurate wait times and manage reservations and waiting lists
  • Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas and present menus
  • Communicate with servers to ensure efficient seating and service flow
  • Greet guests upon departure and thank them for dining with us
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Cater to guests requiring extra attention (such as families with children or elderly guests)
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with customer inquiries
  • Support the wait staff and restaurant team as needed


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
