Stouts Island Lodge is a picturesque resort situated on an island in the heart of Red Cedar Lake, near Rice Lake, WI. Renowned for offering exceptional customer service. We are looking for individuals who are committed to maintaining and upholding this tradition of excellence.

Stouts Island Lodge is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Host to join our team. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that every guest has an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive. Your role will involve greeting guests, managing reservations, and assisting with seating arrangements while maintaining the high standards of hospitality for which Stouts Island Lodge is known.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly as they arrive at the lodge, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression.

Manage and confirm reservations, ensuring an efficient seating arrangement based on guest preferences and availability.

Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and offering assistance as needed.

Manage the waitlist during busy periods, ensuring guests are informed about wait times and keeping them updated.

Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating and timely service for guests.

Answer phone calls and emails to handle reservation inquiries and provide information about the lodges services and amenities.

Monitor guest flow and ensure that dining areas remain organized and tidy.

Assist with special guest requests, ensuring that all needs are met promptly and professionally.

Help with event coordination, including special occasions or group bookings, ensuring seamless service.

Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring a neat appearance and welcoming environment.

Uphold all lodge policies, including safety, cleanliness, and guest service standards.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a host, receptionist, or in a customer-facing role, preferably in a hospitality or fine dining environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service.

Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, with a calm and organized approach during busy periods.

Friendly and professional demeanor with a welcoming attitude.

Strong attention to detail, ensuring a high standard of service and presentation.

Ability to use reservation software or systems, with prior experience a plus.

Must be able to stand for long periods and move about the lodge as needed.

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge of the lodges services, amenities, and menu offerings is a plus.
