Job description

Lifeguard Position

Reports to: Director of Recreation/Pool Supervisor

Under the supervision of the pool supervisor the lifeguard will be responsible for patron safety while in and around the pool. It is their job to enforce pool rules and supervise safe swimming. It is the responsibility of the lifeguard to acquire and keep current the following certifications: American Red Cross Lifesaving Professional Rescuer CPR Oxygen Administration AED Administration. In the event of an emergency the lifeguard should be fully prepared to administer the training he/she has received through the American Red Cross. Various duties may also be involved, such as supervision of the locker rooms.
