Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst with 5-6 years of experience in business analysis, requirements management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional process analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with end-to-end business systems analysis, UML diagrams, requirements documentation, SQL, JIRA, and SDLC processes, along with exposure to SAP applications and AI technologies. The role requires the ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders to identify business needs, analyze current and future-state processes, and translate requirements into actionable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze current cross-functional business processes and recommend improvements based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
• Analyze gaps between AS-IS and TO-BE system states, requirements, and business processes.
• Perform requirements elicitation, gathering, analysis, and documentation throughout the SDLC.
• Document business, system, functional, non-functional, and data-mapping requirements.
• Develop UML diagrams to depict business processes, workflows, and system interactions.
• Document customer and user journey maps and assess pain points and improvement opportunities.
• Create requirements documentation templates based on project needs.
• Prepare Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) and Gap Analysis documents.
• Conduct requirements review sessions with impacted stakeholders and obtain approval and sign-off.
• Communicate requirements to leadership, development, and quality assurance teams.
• Identify, communicate, and manage project and business risks with stakeholders, leadership, and development teams.
• Work directly with clients to understand business needs and translate them into effective system requirements.
• Develop intermediate SQL queries for testing, reporting, and data validation.
• Use JIRA to track, manage, and deliver business requirements throughout the SDLC.
• Support the evaluation and practical application of AI technologies and use cases.
• Adopt and leverage AI tools and capabilities to improve productivity and business outcomes.
Required Qualifications
• 5-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
• Strong enterprise-to-enterprise (E2E) business systems analysis experience.
• Strong generic Business Analysis skills, including requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong experience developing and interpreting UML diagrams.
• Experience with requirements management throughout the SDLC.
• Experience preparing RTMs, Gap Analysis documents, and requirements specifications.
• Intermediate SQL skills for testing, reporting, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA.
• Strong client-facing and cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Ability to analyze AS-IS and TO-BE processes and identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Knowledge of SAP applications.
• Knowledge of AI technologies and practical business use cases.
• Willingness to adopt AI tools and capabilities in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working on enterprise-scale business transformation initiatives.
• Experience creating customer/user journey maps and conducting pain-point analysis.
• Experience working closely with development and QA teams in Agile or hybrid SDLC environments.
• Experience developing reusable requirements documentation templates and standards.
