Assistant Grower
Full Time Union Position: (M-F, weekends during peak times)

Join Bachman's Green House team as an Assistant Grower! In this role, you'll work alongside our experienced Growers to help produce healthy, beautiful greenhouse crops through watering, fertilization, environmental control, crop protection, and identifying insect, disease, and nutrient issues.

POSITION DUTIES:
  • Assist Growers in the production of greenhouse crops - watering, fertilization, environmental control, application of crop protection products, identification of insect, disease and nutrient issues.
  • Learn all duties and requirements involved with crop production and greenhouse operation.
  • Provide work direction to lower classifications.
  • Work rotating weekend shift
  • Assist in other areas as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of one season of greenhouse production experience.
  • Must be able and willing to obtain chemical applicators license if necessary.
  • Minimum of one season of greenhouse production experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to operate motorized equipment according to set standards.
  • Must be able to perform physical work including moving and/or lifting up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to move and/or lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis from ground level up to 5 ½ feet.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
