Job description

At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader - we're changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We're committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.
Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work - every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet.
Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers - and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.
About the Team and Role
This role is part of eBay's Buying Conversion team and will lead the Shopping Intent portfolio of CRM experiences. You will serve as the portfolio lead for strategy, roadmap, execution, experimentation, and business impact. Your focus will be on customer-facing communications that help buyers reconnect with appropriate inventory. You will also support their progress along the purchase journey.
Shopping Intent sits at the center of eBay's buyer re-engagement strategy. The portfolio activates both expressed and observed buyer intent signals - including saved searches, followed sellers, watched items, recently viewed items, carts, checkout, price changes, and other high-intent shopping behaviors - across email, push notifications, in-app notifications, and emerging CRM channels.
In this highly visible role, you will shape how eBay uses user intent, personalization, recommendation signals, and AI-powered decisioning to deliver more relevant, timely, and valuable customer communications while reducing fatigue and improving long-term customer value. You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, CRM, Data Science, and partner product teams across the customer experience to evolve the portfolio into a more intelligent, customer-centric re-engagement system.
If you are passionate about marketplace dynamics, customer-centric growth, and lifecycle communications, consider this outstanding opportunity. It involves building systems that turn buyer intent into relevant action. You will shape how eBay's owned-channel conversion experiences change.
What You Will Do
  • Coordinate the Shopping Intent CRM portfolio, including vision, strategy, roadmap, experimentation, performance, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Define how eBay activates high-intent shopping signals. Build customer-facing CRM experiences through email, mobile alerts, app messages, hub, and future owned-channel surfaces. These help customers return to relevant inventory and continue their path to purchase.
  • Lead roadmap planning and prioritization across multiple programs and features, balancing customer relevance, conversion impact, operational complexity, technical feasibility, and long-term strategic value.
  • Partner with Engineering, Data Science, Recommendations, CRM, Analytics, Design, and partner product teams to improve personalization, targeting, trigger logic, ranking, suppression, frequency capping, send-time optimization, channel orchestration, and measurement.
  • Translate customer problems and portfolio opportunities into clear product requirements, MVPs, experiments, and execution plans; create PRDs, manage dependencies, and drive execution from discovery to launch.
  • Lead and influence a small portfolio team of PMs, helping them increase their impact, sharpen product judgment, and deliver high-quality outcomes across the Shopping Intent roadmap.

What You Will Bring
  • 7-9 years of product management experience, including experience in technical product management, growth product management, lifecycle/CRM communications, personalization, marketplace products, recommendations, search, or user behavior-based trigger systems.
  • Experience owning large-scale customer-facing product portfolios with measurable business outcomes, ideally in a marketplace, e-commerce, consumer technology, or large-scale digital platform environment.
  • Proven experience building or optimizing lifecycle communications across email, push, in-app, hub, or similar owned channels, including audience strategy, trigger logic, messaging, experimentation, and measurement.
  • Strong customer and product judgment, with the ability to understand customer needs, fatigue, intent signals, marketplace dynamics, and conversion trade-offs across both sides of a marketplace.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML-powered product systems, with the ability to partner effectively with Data Science, Recommendations, Analytics, and Engineering teams on model behavior, inputs and outputs, performance measurement, and governance.
  • A growth mindset and demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners, influence without authority, and turn ambiguity into actionable strategy and execution.
