JROTC Army Instructor's Job Description
SUMMARY: The JROTC Army Instructor (AI) is responsible for assisting the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) in coordinating with senior school officials and the JROTC Directorate to establish procedures relating to the administration, control, and education of students enrolled in the JROTC program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. JROTC certification or attain an associate degree within five years of hire.
  2. Experience working with youth and culturally diverse groups.
  3. Ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues.
  4. Must be able to collaborate effectively with district personnel, the general public, and work with diverse groups of people.
  5. Must meet physical standards outlined in Cadet Command Regulation 145 -2. Must be honorably retired not more than three years (waivers may be granted for hard to fill vacancies) from the United States Army in the grade of E-6 thru E-9. Warrant Officers may serve as AIs in programs that are chaired by Commissioned Officers
  6. Must be pre-screened and certified by US Army Cadet Command prior to applying for this position.
  7. Must be able to pass a national background check, to include fingerprinting and have no history of violence towards children.
