Job description

Service Project Manager for Fire Sprinkler
Overview:
The Service Project Manager’s role is to plan, execute, and provide leadership and direction to ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet both cost and profit objectives on fire sprinkler jobs.
The right candidate will have fire protection experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accompanies Account Managers on site surveys of prospective work
  • Reviews material and labor hours with Account Managers prior to quote completion
  • Responsible for ensuring Account Managers understand job logistics and difficulties at time of site visit
  • Manages turnover meeting with Account Manager and team
  • Understands scope of work, identifies additional opportunities and manages change orders process
  • Take ownership of projects sold and manage through to completion
  • Ordering materials
  • Kick-off meetings
  • Coordinate schedule with other trades and owner
  • Schedule field labor and equipment rentals
  • Review costs that are applied to projects for accuracy before billing
  • Turns project paperwork over to Accounting for timely invoicing
Important Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and organization skills with the ability to multitask to manage a portfolio ranging from 20-30 projects
  • Strong knowledge in NFPA 13 and NFPA 25
  • Aptitude for numbers, tracking details and forecasting to meet mission critical budget and cost targets
  • Enjoys playing a key support role to Account Manager while also capable of being client facing

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. The ability to drive to job sites / work locations may be a requirement of this position. A motor vehicle record (MVR) check will be conducted as part of the hiring process
