Job description

5+ years of electrical construction project management experience preferred.

Facility Solutions Group (FSG Electric) is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This position is responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, field coordination, customer relationships, and overall project execution.

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical construction background, understands the realities of the jobsite, and can successfully coordinate between field operations, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects, proactively solve problems, and consistently deliver successful outcomes for both the customer and the company.

  • Manage electrical construction projects from award through project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and manpower plans.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Partner closely with Foremen, Superintendents, and field personnel to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor labor productivity, job costs, and project profitability.
  • Conduct project meetings with customers, general contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to avoid schedule delays and cost overruns.
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with company safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Support estimating, preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, and value engineering efforts when needed.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field personnel.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships that generate repeat business opportunities.

  • 5+ years of electrical construction project management experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems and construction practices.
  • Experience managing project financials including budgets, forecasting, labor tracking, and cost control.
  • Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Experience utilizing construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass background screening requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred but not required.
  • PMP certification, electrical licensing, or equivalent industry credentials are a plus.
