What You’ll Do 

As a Radiology Technologist, you’ll report to the Practice Manager. You will operate basic x-ray equipment determining the quality and quantity of ionizing radiation to make quality radiographies. The Rad Tech will administer medical x-rays on injured and/or sick patients, as directed by a physician, following accepted procedures and policies. You’ll perform routine laboratory tests as ordered.

Radiology Technologist Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure radiation safety and quality control.
  • Use sterile techniques and proper patient immobilization.
  • Develop and maintain x-ray films and equipment.
  • Perform and record routine lab and EKG tests.
  • Administer and document medications and injections.
  • Maintain inventory and condition of lab and x-ray supplies.
  • Assist with exams, procedures, and patient positioning.
  • Record medical history and vital signs.
  • Prepare patients and provide instructions per physician orders.
  • Triage calls and schedule procedures.
  • Enter patient data into EMR.
  • Organize records and reports for provider review.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare and send procedure orders to hospitals.
  • Perform minor equipment repairs.
  • Complete drug and alcohol testing per certification.
  • Support physician and complete other assigned duties.

What You Bring

As a Radiology Tech you bring a Demonstrated a knowledge of and competency in performing radiographic procedures, including the ability to obtain satisfactory radiographic and accurate records. You demonstrate knowledge of and competency in performing routine laboratory procedures, including the ability to obtain satisfactory results utilizing measurable and verifiable criteria to meet standards.  You demonstrate analytical skills necessary to evaluate information and results utilizing measurable and verifiable criteria to meet standards.  You have the ability to perform venipuncture.  You’ll bring the manual dexterity necessary to adjust machine controls or change, attach, or adjust devices or accessories.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an approved school of radiology technology
  • Registration and state licensure within six months of date of employment
  • A minimum of one year of health care experience is required.
