Accounts Receivable | Collections Specialist (Temp-to-Hire) Location: West Hollywood, CA Pay Rate: $27-$28/hour A growing and dynamic organization in the advertising industry is seeking an Accounts Receivable| Collections Specialist to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to contribute to a high-volume billing and collections function. Key Responsibilities Billing & Invoicing
  • Generate accurate and timely customer invoices based on contracts, campaigns, and sales activity
  • Review billing details for accuracy, including rates, terms, and campaign specifications
  • Distribute invoices via email, mail, and electronic billing platforms
Payment Processing
  • Post and apply incoming payments (ACH, wire, checks, credit cards) to customer accounts
  • Reconcile payments against open invoices and investigate discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of all cash receipts and transactions
Collections
  • Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past due balances
  • Communicate with clients via phone and email to resolve outstanding invoices
  • Negotiate payment arrangements when needed and document all collection activity
Account Reconciliation
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Research and resolve billing disputes, partnering cross-functionally as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales and operations to ensure billing accuracy
Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare AR aging reports and provide updates on collection status
  • Identify trends in customer payment behavior and escalate risks when appropriate
  • Support month-end close by providing AR-related data and insights
Customer Service
  • Build strong relationships with clients to support timely collections
  • Respond to billing inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while enforcing payment terms
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of Accounts Receivable | Collections experience in a high-volume environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR processes
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience a plus)
  • Experience with collections and customer-facing communication
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
