Data Collection Administrative Staff

Location: Indianapolis, IN (100% Onsite)
Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the U.S.
Interview Process: Phone Interview followed by In-Person Interview
Contract Duration: August 31, 2026 – July 30, 2027 (11 Months)


Job Overview

The Client is seeking a detail-oriented Data Collection Administrative Staff professional to support the Sex and Violent Offender Registration and Victim Services Division. This role is responsible for researching, collecting, analyzing, and maintaining sensitive criminal justice records while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with state regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, strong analytical abilities, and experience working with confidential information and Microsoft Office applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, collect, and review court documents and criminal justice records.
  • Analyze and interpret legal and court-related documentation.
  • Enter and maintain accurate information in web-based portals and internal databases.
  • Communicate with local and state law enforcement agencies to obtain required information.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive criminal records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
  • Organize and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • Support departmental projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (required).
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with internal teams and external agencies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree (preferred).
  • Experience researching legal or court documents.
  • Familiarity with criminal history records, including:
    • Triple I records
    • Probable Cause Affidavits
    • Conviction and Sentencing Documents
    • Presentence Investigation Reports
    • Court Orders
  • Knowledge of the Indiana Criminal Code and Criminal Justice System.
  • Experience working with criminal justice, corrections, or law enforcement agencies.
