Summary
On-the-job Training Provided

Maintains environmental and infection control standards and regulatory requirements within the established policies and procedures and performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient care and non patient care areas.
Job Duties

  • Straightens and picks up trash in restrooms, sinks, showers, toilets, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and surfaces, and replenishes soap and paper products.
  • Vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops floors on a routine basis.
  • Dusts vents and polishes all furniture in common areas and patients rooms daily.
  • Cleans and polishes fire extinguishers and ice machines weekly.
  • Coordinates housekeeping services with other departments.
  • Cleans all bathrooms and toilet bowls daily.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Less than 1 year of experience working as housekeeping aide
  • Ability to adhere to safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment at all times.
  • Knowledge of methods of cleaning guest rooms and operation of laundry services.


Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED


Physical Demands
Lift over 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 140 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. short distances. Frequent standing/walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching overhead.
