About the Role

Centurion, an Atwell Company, is seeking a Junior Field Technician to lead testing, inspection, and commissioning activities across a wide range of electrical equipment and systems including substations and datacenters. The work location will be the Pacific Northwest, mainly in Oregon. Our technicians typically will work four to five weeks on with a week off.

What You'll Do

  • Test & Inspect: Perform visual/mechanical inspections and electrical testing on standard equipment and circuits, including meter calibrations, electromechanical and solid-state protective relays, and power quality/load monitoring.
  • Deliver Projects: Assist PMs with scheduling, budgeting, and billing; understand contractual scope and initiate Change Order Requests when work exceeds scope.
  • Own the Tools: Oversee upkeep, calibration, and readiness of electrical test equipment; direct staging of tools/materials for efficient execution.
  • Communicate & Report: Flag issues and test failures to clients, recommend corrective actions, and review final test reports and data sheets for submittal.

What You Bring

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong documentation discipline.
  • NETA certification is highly preferred.
  • Clear, professional communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently in the field while coaching others.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-5+ years of relevant electrical field experience.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and comply with random testing per client requirements.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. (E-Verify or comparable government screening).

Pay Range - $30.00 - $55.00 an hour.
