Job description

We are hiring for a Design Engineer – Foundry Tooling role for a 10-month onsite contract opportunity in Hodges, SC. Looking for candidates with strong foundry engineering and tooling design experience, especially in no-bake and cold box processes.

📍 Location: Hodges, SC (Onsite)
📅 Duration: 10 Months Contract
💼 Role: Design Engineer

Education Requirements:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

Required Skills:
• Strong Foundry Engineering experience including tooling quotation, casting scrap defect analysis & resolution, and foundry process knowledge
• Hands-on experience with no-bake and cold box molding processes
• Foundry tooling design experience with pattern and core boxes
• Strong Creo modeling and CAD design skills
• Experience with casting simulation tools such as SolidCast
• Understanding of machining prints and geometric tolerances
• Ability to handle complex modeling, layouts, offsets, clearances, and tooling build processes

Preferred Skills:
• CNC milling knowledge

Key Responsibilities:
• Design foundry tooling in Creo using standard processes and best practices
• Handle RFQ tooling, new pattern tooling design, re-gating, simulation, and casting issue resolution
• Work closely with managers on workflow priorities and project direction
• Coordinate with tool designers, engineers, and pattern makers during tool build and process flow activities
