Description
Treater Operator
The Treater Operator works closely with the Conditioning Supervisor, Conditioning Operator, and Plant Operations Manager to ensure all treated and treated/blended seed meets customer quality standards. This role is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient operation of seed treating and blending equipment while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Operate seed treating and blending equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and QMS work instructions
Accurately determine seed counts, mix chemicals, and set application rates to meet customer specifications
Monitor and verify treatment accuracy through calibrations, inspections, and quality checks
Maintain seed quality, appearance, and product integrity throughout the treating process
Complete required quality documentation and maintain accurate treatment inventory records
Clean, maintain, and assist with upkeep of treating, blending, and related equipment
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to support efficient plant operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
