We specialize in point-of-sale consumer financing delivered through recreation dealers (RV, marine) and home improvement contractors, and we support strategic partners with Banking-as-a-Service lending programs.
Role Summary
The VP, Consumer Products & Experience leads product, pricing, and user experience across Medallion Bank's recreation and home improvement lending businesses. This leader will build and scale a modern product organization-loan product management & development, online/offline UX, and competitive intelligence-while partnering closely with Sales, Credit/Risk, Technology, Marketing, Operations/Servicing, Finance, Legal/Compliance, and Executive Leadership. The mandate: accelerate profitable loan volume growth, identify specialty lending segments, align to competitive markets, raise approval and conversion rates, and deliver a best-in-class borrower and partner experience with uncompromising regulatory rigor.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the multi-year product strategy & roadmap across partner channels (dealer/contractor and embedded/POS), aligning to growth goals, risk appetite, funding/capital plans, and regulatory obligations.
  • Assess and lead new loan product development and enhancement (secured/unsecured installment, promotional APR, same-as-cash, revolving lines, credit card, etc.) and feature delivery from discovery to launch to iteration with clear OKRs/KPIs (approval, conversion, NIM/ROA, loss rates, NPS/CSAT).
  • Pricing: build rate/fee/promotional constructs and risk-based pricing; partner with Credit/Risk and Finance on tests that optimize unit economics while maintaining loss discipline.
  • Partner with Credit/Risk & Data Science on underwriting policy and decisioning: evaluate scorecards, cash-flow/alt-data, fraud controls, and verification workflows.
  • Lead end-to-end borrower and partner experiences across online and offline journeys (pre-qual, app, verification, decisioning, funding, servicing/collections) including dealer/contractor and internal user interfaces ensure accessibility and inclusive design.
  • Scale POS enablement for home improvement contractors and recreation dealers (APIs/UIs, partner portals, training and sales enablement) in tight coordination with Sales.
  • Institutionalize competitive intelligence (rates, terms, SLAs, merchant incentives, UX patterns); convert insights into roadmap, recommended pricing moves, and channel strategies.
  • Embed Legal/Compliance and Audit throughout the lifecycle to ensure controls for Reg Z/E, UDAAP, FCRA, ECOA, privacy, and FFIEC expectations; deliver clean exams and audit outcomes.
  • Build and lead a high-performing product organization (loan product managers, UX research/design, Competitive Intelligence (); establish operating rhythm (QBRs, Program Increment (planning), dashboards, and experimentation practices.
  • Drive cross-functional execution with Engineering/Platform/Decisioning, Operations/Servicing, Sales, and Marketing; clear dependencies, sequence delivery, and communicate trade-
  • Represent Product in and with key channel partners; present performance, insights, and investment cases with clarity and data.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years in financial services product management with 5+ years leading consumer lending products at a bank/fintech/credit union; proven P&L ownership and scaled delivery.
  • Demonstrated cooperative leadership of pricing and portfolio performance (growth vs. losses; approval vs. yield; acquisition vs. retention).
  • Hands-on leadership of digital UX and assisted/partner experiences; strong experimentation (A/B, incrementality) and analytics skills.
  • Fluency partnering with Credit/Risk and Data Science on underwriting, policy, and decisioning platforms; familiarity with fraud/identity controls.
  • Regulatory fluency and experience embedding compliance by design (Reg Z/E, UDAAP, FCRA, ECOA; FDIC/State expectations).
  • Executive-level communication and influence across Sales, Tech, Finance, and the C-suite; ability to recruit, coach, and scale teams.
