Job description

Position Title:                         Senior Credit Underwriter

Department:                           Credit Services                      

Reports To (position):           Director of Credit Services               

General Summary/Purpose

This position works under the direction of the Director of Credit Services and with the Relationship Managers to provide financial and cash flow analysis, collateral analysis, and prepare loan approval packages for the appropriate approval authorities including the Officers’ Loan Committee and the Board of Directors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

#1       Spreads and analyzes historical and projected financial statements for businesses and individuals                                                                                                          Percentage of time:  40%

#2       Creates credit approval packages demonstrating an ability to assess overall credit risk

and independently identify key issues related to sources of repayment, loan structure,

            industry risk, financial performance, collateral, and other relevant criteria across a

            multitude of industries and collateral types                                 Percentage of time:  40%

#3       Presents, or assists in presenting, credit packages for various approval authorities including Relationship Managers, Senior Management, Officers Loan Committee, and the Board of Directors

                                                                                                            Percentage of time:  10%

#4       Analyzes, and prepares reports on various aspects of the bank’s loan portfolio

Education, Training and Skills Required
