Job description

Senior Risk Associate, Card Risk Facilitation

As a Senior Associate in the Card Risk Office, you will be a key driver in the centralization and execution of the Legal and Compliance Risk Office Hours (LCROH) program. Your role provides the operational backbone and professional risk coordination that enables our Card partners to navigate complex initiatives with confidence.

In this role, you will gain significant exposure across the division, partnering with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), advisors, and leaders to ensure risk discussions are productive, consistent, and well-documented. You will thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment where accuracy, speed, and organizational excellence are the standards for success. This is an ideal role for an aspiring risk professional looking to master the intersection of business strategy and regulatory governance.

Role Responsibilities
  • Facilitation and Coordination: Manage, coordinate, and facilitate key discussion topics funneling into various dedicated legal, compliance, and risk office hour sessions.

  • Agenda and Logistics Management: Lead the end-to-end logistics for sessions, including creating, communicating, and distributing agendas, as well as managing complex calendar invites

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary liaison across the enterprise, communicating effectively to resolve impediments and maintain program momentum.

  • SME Alignment: Drive alignment among Subject Matter Experts and advisors; coordinate "offline reviews" to ensure all necessary perspectives are captured before and after sessions.

  • Documentation and Output: Act as a "stickler" for high-quality outputs by capturing and distributing comprehensive meeting notes and ensuring every discussion is recorded accurately.

  • Platform and Tool Management: Maintain the various tools required for office hour coordination, including tracking systems, SharePoint sites, shared mailboxes, and unified communication platforms like Slack.

  • Process Improvement: Partner with the team to identify operational efficiencies that drive value and consistency across the organization.

Qualities of a Successful Candidate
  • Highly Organized and Accurate: You are a detail-oriented professional who ensures no detail is missed and every output is auditable and consistent.

  • Fast and Action-Oriented: You can self-manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities at once, delivering results in a high-pressure environment.

  • Communicative and Influential: You possess excellent communication skills and are comfortable managing and influencing customers and stakeholders to ensure process requirements are met.

  • Collaborative Team Player: You value diverse perspectives and actively seek insights from others to reach common goals.

  • Adaptable: You are comfortable working in ambiguity and can quickly adjust as the program matures and expands.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 1 year of Project Management, Process Management, Risk, Legal or Compliance experience

  • At least 1 year of experience facilitating cross-functional meetings

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree

  • 1+ years of experience partnering with stakeholders across different business functions

  • Familiarity with change management frameworks and risk or control environments
