Position Summary: The Credit Associate plays a crucial role in managing and ensuring efficient credit flow for assigned Hilldun clients. The candidate will be responsible for optimizing credit approvals, maintaining meticulous records, and balancing client/customer needs with loss prevention measures. Effective communication and a proactive approach to risk management are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee credit lines for assigned clients.

  • Address and resolve specific client inquiries.

  • Execute credit approvals when feasible, balancing client service with prudent risk management.

  • Gather financial statements, trade, and bank references from customers.

  • Interface effectively with factors and insurance companies.

  • Actively manage and assess client risk.

  • Process change of terms for approved invoices as required.

  • Conduct general cross-referencing and regularly update data.

  • Accurately input credit requests manually or via automated systems.

  • Collaborate with the Collections Department to achieve shared objectives.

  • Respond to store inquiries via calls and emails.

  • Maintain expertise on facility-system integrations to proactively prevent system errors.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Client Services.

  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
