Credit & Collections Specialist Sr.

LOCATION: This is a hybrid position requiring that you be in the office 1-2 days per week.

HOURS: General business hours, Monday through Friday. Start date can be within the hours of 7:30 am and 9:00 am, Central.

Hybrid 1: This role requires associates to be in-office1 - 2days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office

Responsible for complex collection activities related to past due health insurance premiums and/or past due health insurance claims.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Follows established guidelines, contacts group for the purpose of collecting past due insurance premiums and/or past due health insurance claims.

  • Researches validity of past due and/or disputed debt.

  • Generates demand letters.

  • Prepares reports reflecting status of credit and collection activities for management review.

Required Qualifications

  • Requires a H.S. diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of commercial debt collection experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical insurance collection experience is strongly preferred.

  • Previous experience working with Medicaid and/or Medicare is very helpful for this role.

  • NextGen experience is preferred.

  • You should be proficient in Microsoft Office programs to include Excel.

  • Commercial insurance background is very helpful.
