What is a credit card portfolio?

A credit card portfolio refers to the collection of credit card accounts that are managed by a financial institution or lender. This includes all the accounts, balances, and associated risks and revenues tied to the credit cards issued by the organization. Managing a credit card portfolio involves monitoring performance, minimizing risk, and optimizing profitability by analyzing customer behavior, payment patterns, and creditworthiness. Portfolio managers use data-driven strategies to maximize returns and minimize losses for the institution.

Familiarity with portfolio management software, credit risk modeling tools, and regulatory compliance systems is essential.
