Job description

South Carolina Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Credit Card Operations Team Lead to join our team of outstanding Card Operations professionals in North Charleston, SC.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Achieve operational performance in alignment with Card Operations goals. This includes, but not limited to, reviewing progress, monitor productivity and recommending improvements.
  • Supervise operational activities and workflow, direct staff, escalate problems, assess corrective steps and execute corrective action with vendors, staff and management when necessary.
  • Research and resolve escalated member complaints and authorize corrections as needed.
  • Evaluate processes within the department and provide recommendations for improvement or change.
  • Coordinate Card Operations record retention practices and ensure procedures are documented and updated and area is in compliance.
  • Assist Credit Card Operations Manager as needed to plan, organize, train, and motivate staff and department.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Possess an associate's degree in accounting or similar or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Possess a minimum of three years of similar or related experience in a financial services work environment.
  • Possess a minimum of one year demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Possess proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess ability to analyze situations and make solid decisions with exceptional judgment.
  • Possess ability to maintain confidential information and handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Possess proficiency in Microsoft office applications, with advanced expertise in Excel.
  • Possess proficient mathematical skills.

NOTE: Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
